Never a Dull Moment

I do not think as a mom I am allowed to have dull moments, especially when it comes to my boys!

Around midnight last night my littlest guy started the barking noise when he was breathing and when he got the tickle in the throat. By this morning it was worse. My other son had an appointment today and Jackie just kept on asking when we could go home so he could go to bed. He was miserable.

We got home and started our oil boosting program for the day (lavender, SniffleEase, Thieves, R.C. and Raven). I go into the kitchen to grab a Super C to give him and I get back into the bedroom and he has managed to order Jurassic World OnDemand!

So we watched that a full time through. He watched it again a full time through. He then wanted to show daddy when he got home. So the movie went on, again.

It was about time for his oils again and he started to sneeze like crazy. He hasn’t done that today so I made him come over to me so we could oil earlier. He proceeded to tell me he was sneezing from the tissue he put up his nose so he wouldn’t drip boogers  (I would just love to point out that this mama is 3 for 3 with her boys sticking things up their noses; I’m a rock star mom). So my phone light went on and I look up to see at least one wad of tissue. Got that one out and see there is another one, way up there. Try to get that one out and it starts to move downward, then appeared to get stuck. So I had daddy go and grab some tweezers.

By the time he got back to the room I had gotten the second piece out. Jackie said he thought he had more up there still but when looking up his nose it was so puffed up that I couldn’t see all the way up.

So we did a bit of lavender with grapeseed oil, on a q-tip and put just inside the nose to help bring the puffiness go away!

Within 3 minutes of being all oiled up Jackie passed out for a nap.

Currently we are not 100%  certain still if all the tissue is out but after he wakes up we will certain be checking it out. If he still feels as if he has something up there, urgent care will be our destination this evening.
